Khatazo

Khatazo does not collect, log, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer, Khatazo, or any third party. The App does not require account creation, sign-in, email address, phone number, or any form of registration to be used. There are no servers operated by the developer that the App communicates with.

When you use Khatazo, you may choose to enter information such as:

• Names of people you owe money to or who owe you money
• Transaction amounts
• Categories (Friend, Family, Business, Other)
• Dates and times of transactions
• Optional notes

All of this information is entered voluntarily by you and is used solely to display your own ledger back to you within the App.

All data described in Section 2 is stored exclusively on your device, in a local database (Room/SQLite) contained within the App's private storage area. This data:

• Is never transmitted over the internet
• Is never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party
• Cannot be accessed by the developer at any time
• Is deleted automatically if you uninstall the App, unless you have exported a backup (see Section 4)

Khatazo lets you manually export your ledger as a backup file using your device's own file system (via the Storage Access Framework). If you choose to save this file to a cloud service such as Google Drive, that is done entirely by you, outside of Khatazo, and is governed by that service's own privacy policy — not this one. The developer has no access to this file at any point, whether it is stored locally or in any cloud location you choose.

The Settings screen includes an "App Lock" toggle intended for a future release. As of the current version, enabling this toggle does not add any lock screen, PIN prompt, or biometric prompt when opening the App — it is a saved preference only and has no functional effect yet. This section will be updated with full details the moment app-lock functionality (PIN and/or biometric) is actually implemented and shipped in an update. No biometric or PIN data is collected, processed, or stored by the App at this time.

Khatazo's manifest currently declares the USE_BIOMETRIC permission in preparation for the app-lock feature described in Section 5. This permission is not currently invoked or used by any part of the App. No other runtime permissions (contacts, camera, location, storage outside the backup file picker, etc.) are requested by the App.

Khatazo displays no advertisements and contains no ad network SDKs.

Khatazo does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, crash reporting tools, or any third-party analytics or tracking SDK. No usage statistics, device identifiers, or behavioral data are collected.

Because the App collects no data, no data is sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or any other third party.

Since all data remains on your device and is never transmitted, the primary security boundary is your device itself. We recommend:

• Keeping your device's lock screen (PIN/pattern/biometric) enabled
• Only restoring backup files from sources you trust
• Keeping your Android OS updated

Khatazo does not knowingly collect information from children or any user, as it collects no information of any kind. The App is not directed at children and contains no content unsuitable for general audiences.

Because all data lives on your device:

• You can view, edit, or delete any entry at any time within the App
• You can delete all data instantly by uninstalling the App
• You can export your full data as a backup file at any time
• You control entirely where, if anywhere, that backup file is stored

This policy may be updated if the App's functionality changes (for example, when app-lock or cloud sync features are actually implemented). Any update will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
